We first tried paddle boarding in late 2019. We loved the idea and disliked the product. Every board we tried was the same thing under a different sticker - slow, heavy and sold on a discount that never ended.
We wanted a board that was stable enough to stand on and still paddled efficiently. One that could hold a cooler. One that looked like it belonged next to a boat, not in a bargain bin. When we could not buy it, we started making it.
WheeJet is drawn in Miami. Florida water is warm in February and crowded all summer, which is the fastest way to learn what a board has to survive - sun, salt, sand in the valve and a season that never really stops. Every shape we sell has been through it before it reaches you.
AURA came out of the same habit of being on the water late. The light is built into the hull during assembly, so the board still rolls into its bag, and the evening does not end when the sun goes down.
